Where are the customer’s yacht’s?

There was a book written long ago by this same title. In one part the stockbroker is showing a friend a fancy yacht. The friend replies but where are the customer’s yacht’s? This reminds me of the new film The Wolf of Wall Street. Instead of the missing customers yachts, we are missing the victims of this embezzler. Why were they not shown in the film. The evil of greed is supposed to be the message. Why not show the victims and how their lives were ruined. Imagine waking up one day and realizing your retirement account had been stolen. The movie is filled with coke and stripper filled binges for entertainment value. Where are the victims? I guess that would take some of the fun out of movie night.
